Introduction of WCIF

The Western China International Fair (WCIF) was inspired by the China Western Development strategy and was founded in May 2000, with Chengdu as its permanent host city. Following the principle of “Cooperation, Sharing and Mutual Benefits”, the national-level and comprehensive fair has been held 15 times with sponsors including 16 state departments and ministries such as the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 12 provincial (district/municipal) governments, the XinJiang Production & Construction Corps and Boao Forum for Asia, and the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government as the organizer. Description:it was the first time that main exhibition hall of the 15thWCIF was divided into two sections. With an overall exhibition area of 240,000m2(120,000m2for eachhalf),a total of 8,981 enterprises from 76 countries and regions attended the ceremony, witha year-on-year growth of 108%.
